Terms and Conditions

These terms govern the use of canjain.com and the engagement of Canjain Global Advisors Pvt Ltd for professional services.

1. Nature of the relationship

Information on this website is general in nature. It is not legal, tax, accounting or financial advice, and it does not create a professional relationship. A professional relationship arises only when we have agreed a scope of work with you in writing and you have accepted it.

2. Scope and fees

Every engagement is defined by a written scope stating what we will do, what you will supply, and what it costs. Professional fees and statutory or government fees are quoted separately. Government fees are payable to the concerned authority and are not ours.

Work outside the agreed scope — additional filings, responses to notices arising from earlier periods, or resubmissions caused by information not disclosed to us — is quoted separately before it is undertaken.

3. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information and documents you give us. We prepare filings from what you provide. Where information turns out to be inaccurate or incomplete, any resulting penalty, interest or re-filing cost is yours.

Where a statutory deadline applies, you must give us the required information in reasonable time before it. We cannot be responsible for a deadline missed because material reached us too late to act on.

4. Outcomes and timelines

We do not guarantee any particular outcome from any authority. Approvals, registrations, objections and orders are decided by the concerned department. Timelines given are estimates based on normal processing and may change with departmental workload, queries, inspections or policy change.

5. Payment

Fees are payable as stated in the scope. Government fees are generally payable in advance of filing. We reserve the right to suspend work on an engagement where agreed fees remain unpaid.

6. Confidentiality

We treat client information as confidential, subject to our obligations to disclose where required by law or by a regulatory authority.

7. Limitation of liability

Our liability in respect of any engagement is limited to the professional fee paid to us for that engagement. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit or business opportunity.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by Indian law. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts having jurisdiction over our registered office.

Tell us the situation

You do not have to know the name of the form. Describe the problem and we will identify the filing, the authority and the realistic timeline before you pay anything.
