Scope of work

Every engagement is defined by a written scope setting out what we will file or draft, what you will supply, the timeline and the fee. Work outside that scope is quoted separately before it is taken up. Representation before any court, tribunal or appellate authority is included only where the scope expressly says so.

Fees and payment

• Professional fees and government or statutory fees are quoted separately. Statutory fees are paid onward to the concerned authority and are not marked up.
• Prices shown on service pages are starting fees for the standard scope described on that page. GST at the applicable rate is charged on professional fees; where a payment button shows a GST-inclusive amount, that is stated alongside it.
• Fees are payable in advance unless the written scope says otherwise.
• Online payments are processed by Razorpay, a third-party payment gateway. We do not see or store your card, UPI or net-banking credentials.
• Government fees, once paid to an authority, cannot be recovered from that authority regardless of the outcome.

Your responsibilities

We rely on the documents and information you provide. You are responsible for their accuracy and completeness, and for promptly telling us about anything that changes the position — a notice received, a transaction completed, a change in directors, partners or premises. Delay in supplying documents or approvals is the most common cause of a missed due date, and we cannot accept responsibility for interest, late fees or penalties that follow from such delay.

Timelines and outcomes

Timelines are estimates based on ordinary processing by the relevant authority or portal. We do not control, and cannot guarantee, the decision of any authority, the grant of any registration, licence, certificate, refund, subsidy or grant, or the outcome of any proceeding. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability in respect of any matter is limited to the professional fee received for that matter. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit or business opportunity. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
